The Story Continues...
Random little pieces I wrote not so much in poem form, but short story form.

Phrase or Father?
I know a few people that say, "Oh my God!"
Most of them don't even believe in God.

I know many people who say, "Thank God!"
But tell ya the truth, they dont' really mean to thank God at all.

I know some other folks who say, "Jesus Christ!" when they are angry or sad.
But, again, neither do they believe in Him.

Finally, I know people who always say, "I swear to God!" if they are trying to prove a point.
But honestly, they yet to believe in Him.

But why? Why do people say these things when they do not believe? Is it because these phrases are just so often used, it comes out so naturally? Or do they just say these things because they are everyday expressions?

Truth is, God is more than just a phrase or an expression. God is more than just a state of mind or some Spirit named in a Book called The Holy Bible. God is the Father. God is love. God is our Judge. God is our Savior. God is the Creator. God is the Son. God is the Holy Spirit. God is in our hearts.

So, my sweet brothers and sisters, the next time you say, "Oh my God!" or "Thank God!" or "Jesus Christ!" or "God bless you..." when someone sneezes, remember what the true meaning behind it all is.
The Christian Stages
We, as a community of believers in Christ Jesus, are like the stages of a butterfly from the time it is born to the time it actually evolves into its last state. What do I mean by this? Let me explain...

Before a butterfly can be in its true state, it must first go through certain stages to truly be considered a butterfly, correct? The first stage is the caterpillar. The caterpillar is new in life. It's open to new ideas on where it should travel in life. It doesn't question much, and it's like a child that doesn't put up much of a fight in life. How does that compare to us, as humans and a Christian community? When we are first born, we are open to new ideas. Some of us like to study other faiths/religions to see which one is right for us. We don't get defensive or put up much of a fight at all. Most of us are like children, going any which way and not really sticking to any schedule.

The next phase for the butterfly is the cacoon stage. While being in this stage, the caterpillar does a lot of changing on its own. It's self conscious about itself. It's not open to the world at all what-so-ever. It tries to be dependant on its own and is ignorant and shut off to the world around them. With this said, isn't that like people who have heard the Word of God, but choose to ignore it? People who wish not to listen to the Word of God are liek the caterpillar in its cocoon. They depend on themselves, shut themselves from the Word and choose not to be open with a faith in Jesus Christ. And with their cocoon surrounded around them, they are ignorant to the Word and miss the obvious that Christ is around them and cares for them.

Finally, the last phase, is the butterfly stage. When the caterpillar finally breaks out of its cocoon, it's finally free from the bondage of hardships it has endured in its shell. It is now refreshed and is open to the world around them. It changes physically, emotionally, and mentally for the rest of its life on earth. Isn't this just like the change you see for people when they find Christ? Doesn't Christ change us spiritually, mentally, and physically? Doesn't He break us free from the lies and hurt of this world?

So then, with this said, what stage are you in with God? Are you a caterpillar...not even sure if you love Him or not? Are you a cocoon...ignorant to the Word thinking you can get by on your own? Or are you a butterfly?...free, refreshed, and full of new live in Christ?

Deceived
Out of no where, an angel appeard to me. It smiled at me and I smiled back. I tried to think about why it was there, but I was too busy gazing at its beauty.

I asked, "Why have you come?" It answered back, "I have come to take you to a better place...come with me." I smiled at when on with it. The beautiful angel took me and we both laughed with joy as it took me away from the earth.

It told me, "Kind soul, bow down before me and I shall tak you to the better place!" I quickly got to my knees and bowned to the angelin a worshiping manner.

I opened my eyes and I saw a beast in flames. I looked around and I was burning up in a lake of fire. "Ahhh!", I yelled. "Where is this?", I asked.

The beast answered back, "Hell..." I yelled at it, "You told me that you were going to take me to a better place!" The beast replied back, "I lied..."

Angels are God's special creations to help people along their rough path of Christianity. They are not to be worshiped. Don't be like the fool in the story...
Testimony from Satan
"I saw this child born by a woman of the name of Mary. I saw these angels come to these 3 wise men and told them to rejoice because a King had been born. I didn't think much of it. After all, it was just a baby. Next thing I knew, that boy turned 10 years old and I noticed that Mary named Him Jesus. He wold always go to the rabbis and ask questions about God. Jesus was very smart...but still, He was only 10 years old. I just ignored His intelligence. However I kept my eyes on Him for the time being. Many years passed and Jesus had many followers. Jesus became a man and would teach many people about God, the Creator of the world. I would always try to take His mind off of God with temptations of women and foods galore! But everytime I tried this...He always defeated me with the Words of God. He always seemd to quote them often. I wold get mad at this each time. Once, I noticed that Jesus was praying, so I sneaked in and listened to what He was saying. I heard Him say

"Father, forgive all those who have sinned against You...they know not what they do. I realize that I will be put to death, but I rely that when I pass away, You will be there and I shall become King of the Jews..."

After I heard this, I became worried and very jealous. Jesus thought He was God's little Lamb...but I wold not have that. So, I tempted many people, even one of His own followers, to go against Him. Once at night, while Jesus was talking to His faithful followers, I brought evin into an army of people to take Jesus away. After they did this, I would whisper into their soul, "Beat Him more! Spit on Him! He is nothing!" Those stupid humans did as I told them...and Jesus suffered greatly. As I saw Him carrying that "cross", I laughed at Him so hardly. I knew that He wouldn't make it on earth. Then, I heard this voice out of no where yell, "This is what you call a King?!" After I heard this voice, my eyes opened very widely. At that moment, I realized that the only way He could become King and save people for generations beyond that one was if He died on that cross. So, I ran to the mountain where men had been crucified and I tried to push Jesus back...but He kept walking. He was more powerful and I was. I saw the nails go into His hands and feet. If Jesus dies, I shall be angry forever. For I am jealous of Him. No one knows that about me...and I will keep it that way. I tried to take the nails out, but the angels held me back and said, "Forget it Satan...He is now King of kings..." With that, I looked up and I heard,

"Father, forgive them...they know not what they do..."

With that, Jesus hung His head, and died. I screamed to the Heavens and to Hell below...my demons wailed in pain. As I heard the angels sing in praise to Christ, I screamed in fear. Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again! Look at me now! I live in a firey pit forever and ever. I will continue to keep everyone away from Christ...for I know He is the true Light...but I will not dwell in jealousy alone..."
